Dotasia Proves That Commerce Sells

The DotAsia launch is more or less over at this stage, so it’s as good a time as any to examine which names people were most interested in acquiring.

According to a recent post on Stephane Vangelder’s blog over 500k applications were received

It’s not big surprise that more than one entity was interested in acquiring sex.asia, but Stephane notes that buy.asia was in much higher demand:

Interesting to see that, although the
word “sex” remained the most sought after during the .ASIA sunrise (14
prior-right claims), buy.asia became the most popular name during the
landrush with over 400 applicants.

It will be interesting to watch what happens once the waters have settled.
