World Hosting Days / CloudFest Venue Damaged by Fire

Europa Park in Germany has been the venue for World Hosting Days, now known as CloudFest, for several years. Every year the largest hosting conference in Europe is held in the theme park in Germany about a week before it opens to the public.

This weekend the park is making headlines around the world for another reason. A very big fire broke out in one of the attractions on Saturday which led to the entire park being evacuated.

Here’s some video footage via RT:

At time of writing it’s unclear how much damage has been done to the park, but several attractions, restaurants and services are not in service today. Europa Park’s CEO tweeted that at least two areas of the park were completely destroyed:

While the fire may have caused structural damage fortunately nobody was killed, though media reports say that 3 firemen were injured with smoke inhalation.
