ICANN 82 Seattle Full Schedule Available

February 17, 2025 by Michele Neylon

The full schedule for the upcoming ICANN meeting in Seattle is now available.

ICANN 82 will run from March 8th to March 13th in the Hyatt Regency Seattle. This will be the first of 2025’s public meetings, with the summer one being held in Prague in June and the AGM slated for Muscat, Oman in October.

As they’ve been doing for the last couple of years, there will be a “prep week” in advance of the public meeting which this time will run from February 24th to February 26th.

The meeting itself is free to attend either online or in person, but pre-registration is obligatory. Registration closes on March 7th.

So what will be on the agenda this time?

Expect to see plenty of sessions around:

  • the next “round” of new TLDs
  • DNS abuse
  • Whois / domain registration data
  • ICANN’s budget
  • WSIS

Navigating the schedule is always “fun”, as invariably there’ll be multiple conflicting sessions that you’d like to attend. If you’re an active member of one of ICANN’s constituencies or stakeholder groups, then you can usually tick off a few key sessions quite easily but after that a lot will come down to personal interests and preferences.

This will also be the first ICANN meeting with the new CEO. He will probably spend some of his time with the Board, but whether he’ll be at all the sessions with the ICANN community or not is unknown at this stage.

Full details on registration and other details are available on the event’s official site.
