Dublin To Host ICANN’s 54th Public Meeting

ICANN has formally announced that Dublin will be the host for the 54th ICANN meeting taking place in October 2015. Dublin has previously played host to both RIPE and IETF meetings. ICANN Tells US Court Country Codes NOT Property

ICANN has filed a motion to quash in a US court today. The filing is in relation to a court case being brought by victims of terrorism who are trying to get assets of the countries involved. IEDR Reports Domain Registration Growth In 2013

The IEDR have today published their annual report for 2013. While the overall number of new domain name registrations was down on 2012, by the end of 2013 IEDR report an overall increase of 2.7%. Domain deletions during 2013 were slightly up on the previous year, 14.9% versus 14.1%. ICANN has suspended Domain Registry of America aka Brandon Gray Internet Services aka NameJuice. The registrar is forbidden from registering any new domain names or accepting any inbound transfers until 17 October 2014. Dreamhost Hit With ICANN Breach Notice

Dreamhost is one of the larger webhosting providers out there. The Los Angeles based company was founded back in 1996 and offers Linux hosting exclusively ie. no Microsoft software.
