4 Registrars Elected to IEDR Policy Board

4 registrars have been elected as representatives to the IEDR’s PAC (Policy Advisory Committee).

They are:

  • Michele Neylon (Blacknight Solutions)
  • Kelly Salter (Register365)
  • Jonathan Bate (Hosting Ireland)
  • Conor Moran (Irish Domains)

The PAC will include representatives from other organisations that have been recognised as “eligible”:

  • Department of Communications, Energy and Natural Resources (DCENR);
  • Department of Jobs, Enterprise, and Innovation
  • The Office for Internet Safety (an Executive Office of the Department of Justice and Equality)
  • Irish Internet Association (IIA)
  • Internet Service Providers Association of Ireland (ISPAI)
  • Irish Computer Society (ICS)
  • Incorporated Law Society
  • Irish Business and Employers Confederation (IBEC or IBEC TiF)
  • Chambers Ireland
  • Small Firms Association (SFA)
  • Director of Consumer Affairs
  • Association of Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys in Ireland (APTMA)
  • Data Protection Commissioner
  • HEAnet
  • Enterprise Ireland

IEDR announced the formation of the PAC at the end of July this year. It is hoped that it will hold its first meeting in Q4 2014.
