RIPE meetings bring together a lot of technical types from across the EMEA region, so if you’re into “networking” but with ethernet cables, then this could be the event for you.
The RIPE meetings this year, however, may have a slightly different focus. With the exhaustion of IPv4 I suspect that a lot of the meeting could end up being concentrated around the IANA transition. Whether this comes to dominate the official schedule or not is neither here nor there, but I suspect it will dominate a lot of the hallway conversations.
Though of course I could be mistaken..
