Nominet Appoints Oliver Hope Head of Registry Services

Oliver-Hope

Oliver (Oli) Hope has been appointed by Nominet as their new Director of Registry Services. As Nominet diversifies and under the tutelage of a new CEO this move isn’t surprising.

As for Oli Hope? He is currently with Host Europe (HEG) who acquired Domain Monster a couple of years back. Oli’s got a strong financial background, but has been actively involved in domain name policy and has just completed his term as Treasurer of the Registrar Stakeholder Group. (Disclosure: I’m the Chair)

Oli’s also been a non-executive director of Nominet since last year, so he’s probably quite familiar with Nominet’s operations, at least as much as any outsider could be. He’s due to take up his role there in September.

Best of luck to him!
