ICANN Compliance Explained Using Cute Videos

ICANN’s Compliance department is being made that little bit more accessible via a new friendly video:

As domain transfers are the most common source of complaints it’s not surprising that they chose an issue with a transfer for “Sarah”.

And as ICANN is “global” you can also watch the video in French, Spanish, Chinese or Arabic..

What’s quite nice is that they’ve localised the content a bit for each language, so it’s not simply a case of dubbing the American English version into French or Spanish, they’ve also updated the domain names and a few other subtle elements.

Speaking as a registrar I’m happy to see that they’ve outlined not only what ICANN is responsible for, but put a clear line under areas that fall outside its remit.
