LAC DNS Forum To Be Held In Dominican Republic

The third LAC DNS forum will be held in the Dominican Republic, as part of the “Semana de Internet” (Internet Week). Internet Week runs from August 22nd to August 25th, with the LAC DNS forum being held on the 24th and 25th.

The event covers a range of topics and themes related to domains, DNS and should be of interest to both registries, registrars and anyone with an interest in the internet as a business.

Up until now the LAC DNS forum was held alongside ICANN meetings in the region, but due to ICANN moving the meetings this year that couldn’t happen. ICANN will, however, be involved in the event and the new CEO Göran Marby will be in attendance.

The .do ccTLD is also celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.

Full information about the “Semana de Internet”, registration, hotels and the agenda may be found on the event’s official site (in Spanish).
