Key Systems Takes Over AlpNames’ Domains

ICANN Logo

ICANN is transferring all domains from defunct registrar AlpNames to the Key Systems group of companies.

Officially the transfer is to three different registrars, though all three are owned and controlled by Key Systems.

The gaining registrars are:

  • Moniker Online Services LLC for .biz .com .info .net .org
  • Key-Systems GmbH for .pro
  • Key-Systems LLC for all other gTLDs

In this scenario ICANN, the registries and the registrars involved would work together to use the escrowed data to rebuild the contact information associated with the domain names. It’s not clear if LogicBoxes, who provided the registrar platform to AlpNames, will assist in the process.
