ICANN to Offer Childcare Grants

ICANN Logo

ICANN will be offering grants of up to $750 per family for childcare.

The grants will be made available to help cover the cost of childcare for those attendees who are bringing their children to the ICANN public meetings. ICANN will not be providing childcare facilities directly onsite, but will provide assistance with identifying suitable providers.

One of the criticisms levelled at ICANN by some parties was that it wasn’t doing enough to tackle issues such as childcare for attendees. RIPE, for example, provides onsite childcare facilities..

Starting with the AGM this autumn ICANN will be making available grants to families to help with childcare costs associated with attending ICANN meetings.
