The upcoming public ICANN meeting will be held in Montréal, Canada from November 2nd to November 7th. ICANN 66 is also the organisation’s AGM, so there will be the rotation of various positions on boards, councils and other committees.

I’ll be providing my usual “preview” of the meeting over on the Blacknight Blog a few days before the meeting, once I’ve had time to examine the schedule in more detail and take the pulse on how things are likely to pan out this time round.
Hint: expect two topics to dominate a lot of the conversations:
- Abuse
- Whois / GDPR
Bonus tip: Don’t be surprised if one or two groups push out reports and “studies” in advance of the meeting to push their agenda.
