Namescon Release Preliminary Agenda

NamesCon global will be held in Austin, Texas from January 29th to February 1st 2020.

Yesterday they released the schedule, or at least a preliminary version of it. So you can see the timetable for the various talks and sessions, though details like who is speaking etc., are still missing in many cases. There’ll be sessions on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday with the event formally wrapping up at 530pm on Friday afternoon.

Personally that doesn’t bother me too much, as I’m more interested in finalising my travel schedule ie. working out which days I need to be in Austin for.

So what’s on the agenda for the upcoming event?

As the event is very much focussed on domain investing there’s quite a few sessions covering various aspects of that, so topics include:

  • insights and trends
  • domain investing basics
  • domain valuation
  • managing your business
  • using data
  • domain parking
  • SEO

There’s also a few topics that go a little further outside the core domaining space such as:

  • UDRP
  • DNS over HTTPS
  • Blockchain
  • Design and development

Generally speaking conferences like Namescon main value proposition is in the networking. As it’s the first commercial conference for the domain space in 2020 I’d expect that most of the major players from registrars, registries, aftermarket and the various related services will have some level of presence in Austin. If you have a look at the current list of sponsors you’ll get an idea of which companies will definitely be there in some shape or form.

Full details and tickets are available via the event’s official site.
