Amazon Registry is hiring.

The company has multiple top level domains including .bot .aws and others for a total of 52. While some of them are for internal use, others are distributed.

The Seattle based company is currently advertising for software development engineers.

They operate as a business unit within the giant that is Amazon:

We are a small, fast-paced team with the mindset of a startup and the full backing and resources of Amazon.

The full job description, as well as details on how to apply may be found here.

What is pretty clear is that they’re looking for people with experience and original thinking. If you look at some of the technology that Amazon has been working on over the last couple of years it’s pretty clear that AI and other technologies are important and combining those with their domain extensions could be interesting.

Personally I’d be interested in seeing what they actually do with some of their domain extensions, as many of them are still inactive.
