Verisign Registrar Events Go Virtual

August 24, 2020 by Michele Neylon

2020 is the year where all the events have gone from physical to virtual.

So it’s no surprise that this year’s Verisign Registrar Days will now be held online only.

Traditionally Verisign, like many other registry operators, organises events for registrars every year to update them on market trends and to provide details on various marketing incentives etc., They’re also a good opportunity to network other registrars and their teams.

This year the events are being held over two days, with one segment being held in late September or October and the second segment set to take place in December.

So far the event details have not been announced, though the dates and timing have:

  • EMEA: Tuesday, September 29, from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. CEST
  • Americas: Wednesday, September 30, from 1 :00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. EDT
  • APAC: Tuesday, October 13, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. JST & KST; 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. IST; 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. WIB
  • China: Thursday, October 15, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. CST

As the slots are only 90 minutes long I suspect that they won’t be able to do much beyond providing details on basic updates.

NB: These events are only open to ICANN accredited registrars who are also accredited with Verisign and their staff.
