Namescon 2024 Returns to Austin

August 15, 2023 by Michele Neylon

Namescon, which has become probably the biggest domain event out there, has announced their 2024 dates and location.

They’ll be heading back to Austin, Texas again. This time the event is scheduled to take place from June 5th to June 8th, which is Wednesday until Saturday.

Usually the event schedule runs Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, while the Saturday is set aside for some kind of social activity. The event has been held in the Omni hotel in Austin for the last couple of years and it’s very central. You can easily stay in one of the many other hotels in the area that are within easy walking distance.

Austin is a great location for an event and I’ve always enjoyed the time I’ve spent in the city.

NamesCon is one of the events I’d normally have on my calendar, though this year I had to skip it due to personal commitments and these days I’ve consciously decided to prioritise family and friends over work.

Keep an eye out on the NamesCon site as they announce the schedule and general theme for the event. If nothing else, however, it’s a very good opportunity to network with all the companies that operate in the domain name space. The other big event being, of course, CloudFest which will be held in Germany in March.
