Domaining Americas will be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, over the weekend of October 6th and 7th. The event will be focussed on domains in the Latin American and Caribbean region, so probably more on country codes than gTLDs. Brazil Blocks WhatsApp Again

A Brazilian judge has ordered the blocking of WhatsApp. The order came in the last couple of days and has been reported in mainstream media: The Intercept The NextWeb The blocking order means that 100 million Brazilian users of WhatsApp are cut off.
