Tracking #Netmundial via Twitter

April 24, 2014 by Michele Neylon

If you’re not in Brazil this week for the NetMundial meeting you might be following it remotely.

So out of interest I decided to check the stats on the more popular hashtag people are using on Twitter, ie. #netmundial

Over the past 24 hours the level of activity has been pretty impressive according to TweetReach:

You can follow the hashtag here

Update: It seems quite a few people are using the hashtag #netmundial2014 – it’s longer and most people I’d track aren’t using it .. but the usage patterns are actually higher than for #netmundial – you’d have thought the shorter one would be more popular … you’d be wrong 🙂 However this “anomaly” might be due to a single user – Neelie Kroes
