The Registrar Stakeholder Group is one of the representative groups within ICANN’s GNSO.
Officially it’s described as:
The Registrar Stakeholder Group is the main representative body of ICANN accredited domain name registrars, and was first recognized by the ICANN Board at its meeting on 27 May 1999 (resolution 99.31). The group participates in the ICANN policy making process and serves as the voice of registrars within the ICANN process.
It’s currently looking for people or organisations to apply for the role of “advocate”. Essentially the role is to provide support to the group both in relation to administration as well as providing operational support.
Full details are in the PDF below:
Applications should be sent to Darcy Southwell, Registrar Stakeholder Group Executive Committee Secretary via email by 1200 UTC on August 10th.
