IGF 2020 Goes Virtual

Yet another event has fallen victim to the COVID-19 pandemic. The upcoming IGF meeting which was meant to be held in Poland in early November in the city of Katowice will now move online only. The IGF organisers have announced that the 2021 IGF will be hosted by Poland, while the event in 2022 will go to Ethiopia, with the 2023 event being scheduled for Japan. NamesCon Europe has joined the ever growing list of events that have been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The event was scheduled to be held in Budapest in August. ICANN formally announced last night that both the GDD Summit and DNS Symposium scheduled to be held in Paris, France in May have been cancelled. Nordic Domain Days have announced the dates for the 2020 event. This year the even will be standalone and no longer linked to the big Swedish conference Internetdagarna.
