ICANN Tells US Court Country Codes NOT Property

ICANN has filed a motion to quash in a US court today. The filing is in relation to a court case being brought by victims of terrorism who are trying to get assets of the countries involved. IEDR Announce Longer Opening Hours

IEDR, who run the .ie ccTLD's operations, have announced longer opening hours. In an email to registrars this morning the company announced that they would be extending their opening hours during weekdays, as well as introducing half days on Saturdays. .Us ccTLD Adopting URS From July 1 2014

Neustar, who run the backend registry operations for .us and others, announced yesterday that the .us ccTLD will be adopting the URS from July 1st 2014. The URS  is a shorter and cheaper method of lodging a domain name dispute than the UDRP. Of course it's .us, so the terminology is a little different. Norwegian ccTLD To Open Up To Private Individuals

Norid, the ccTLD registry of Norway, has announced that they will be changing their policies in order to allow private individuals to register .no domain names. CIRA Signs Deal With DomainsBot to Offer Domain Suggestions

IEDR have published their latest annual report which covers the period up to the end of 2012.
