Nominet, the registry operator for .uk, has announced that multi-year domain registration will be made available from 1 May 2012.

The new registration periods will fall inline with other ccTLDs and gTLDs that offer the more flexible 1 – 10 year registration periods.

The change, which will be welcomed by many, comes after consultation with stakeholders.
