Chilean Country Code Domains Breaks 700k Mark

The .cl domain name registry for Chile recently hit a milestone. There are now over 700 thousand .cl domain names registered. (At time of writing 700338). Chilean ccTLD Introduces Legal Assistance Service

The Chilean country code registry (.cl) has announced the formal introduction of a legal assistance service for registrants. Chilean Registry Drops Registrant Update Fee

NIC Chile has updated their domain  transfer policies. Changing the  registrant / holder of a .cl domain name is no longer a billable action effective October 1 2012. Previously the change of registrant / holder, sometimes referred to as a "trade", also prolonged the registration period by 2 years. Chilean Domain Registry Launch 1 Year Registrations

The Chilean domain name registry (.cl), which is celebrating its 25 years in existence has launched one year .cl domain name registrations. As of September 1st 2012 it is possible to register .cl domain names for either 2 years or 1 year.
