Vietnamese Registrar Mat Bao Has Two Breaches At Once

January 12, 2013 by Michele Neylon

Today’s list of 10 registrars that received breach notices included Vietnamese registrar Mat Bao. What makes this quite interesting is that the company had already got a breach notice back in December.

The original breach notice, which I wrote about back then, was in relation to them not complying with a number of obligations under the RAA. While those issues might be serious, the registrar has until 17 January 2013 to rectify them.

But now they have another set of issues to resolve with a deadline of February 1st 2013.

So how does ICANN Compliance treat a registrar with concurrent breach notices? (I don’t have the answer and I’m not even too sure if there’s any standard process to deal with it, as it probably hasn’t happened before.. )
