Transferring a .eu – the saga continues

I finally spoke to someone with a clue (TM) today who managed to push my transfer request along (translation – restart the entire process) and I have now got emails from Eurid to confirm my actions…

Looks like the Czech court finally got round to setting up their DNS, so now Adr.eu actually resolves…. Took them long enough!

Are The Eurid Registration Rules Being Applied?

According to the rules regarding .eu registration the domain is meant to be reserved for EU residents, so how come some of the US hosting companies and registrars that have little of no presence in the EU market have managed to register so many domains????

More Dispute Decisions Published

The Eurid ADR site now lists a total of three decisions, with all three complaints being denied. The Eurostar debacle had already been subject of a French court hearing earlier this year. On both occassions Eurid’s awarding of the domain in question was upheld on the basis of the “first come, first served” rule.

How Long Does A .eu Take To Register?

Considering how quickly the .eu zone has grown you would think that the zone would be reloaded every few minutes… However that does not seem to be the case. Even though whois etc., will update new zones and changes do not seem to be going live in anything close to realtime.
