Fadi Chehadé Is Apparently On Twitter

July 9, 2013 by Michele Neylon

ICANN’s President and CEO Fadi Chehadé is apparently on Twitter.

You’d be forgiven for not knowing, as he’s only tweeted once at time of writing:

Excellent blog on the background to ICANN's security terminology http://t.co/xeZOBTznOc

— ICANN President (@icann_president) July 8, 2013

According to what I can see the account was created on April 21st of this year.

Chehadé’s predecessor was, and still is, a fairly active Twitter user.

However while it was clear that Rod Beckstrom tweeted himself it’s not clear if Chehadé has delegated this to someone else. Which is why I’m saying “apparently”, as we don’t know if it’s him or an ICANN staffer or a PR agency working on behalf of ICANN.

At present the account is very “small” with:

  • 1 tweet
  • following 22 (not an important metric)
  • Klout score = ? (with one tweet that’s hardly surprising.. )

You can follow the account here

      Jaime

      I honestly don’t know.

If it’s just going to tweet links to stuff on the ICANN website etc., then I can’t see much point.

I guess it depends on what he / they do with it

      Michele
